MedSubscribe Program
South Star Drug, Inc. offers the MedSubscribe program as an optional subscription-based service designed to promote customer convenience and access to recurring products. By enrolling in and using the MedSubscribe service, you agree to the following specific terms, which form part of these Terms of Service:
Definitions
· Subscriber refers to the individual who registers for, manages, and pays for a MedSubscribe plan. The Subscriber may either be the actual end-user of the products (the Consumer) or may act on behalf of another individual who will receive and use the products.
· Consumer refers to the actual end-user or recipient of the subscribed products, which may include maintenance medicines, supplements, and other allowable goods. The Consumer may be the Subscriber or another person (e.g., a child, elderly parent, dependent, or individual under care).
1. Enrollment and Eligibility
MedSubscribe is ideal for individuals who require regular access to maintenance medicines and everyday essentials. By subscribing, you affirm that you are of legal age and that the personal, medical, and delivery information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Authorized Subscribers
A MedSubscribe account may be created and managed by a subscriber on behalf of another person (the “consumer”), such as a dependent, child, elderly family member, or individual under care. By doing so, the subscriber represents and warrants that they have obtained the necessary legal authority or explicit consent to act on behalf of the consumer. The subscriber is fully responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, for the accuracy of the information provided, and for ensuring that prescriptions and product selections are appropriate for the intended consumer.
3. Product Scope and Limitations
MedSubscribe covers not only maintenance medicines and supplements but also non-pharmaceutical items such as personal care products, hygiene items, paper goods (e.g., diapers), and other consumables available through the South Star Drug online store. However, antibiotics and other regulated prescription medications are expressly excluded from the program due to legal restrictions on advance dispensing and delivery. All subscriptions are subject to product availability and compliance with relevant laws and pharmacy regulations.
4. Prescription and Fulfillment Requirements
For items requiring a prescription, only valid and current prescriptions will be accepted. South Star Drug, Inc. reserves the right to validate all prescriptions, request clarification, and engage licensed pharmacists in the verification and approval process. Prescription validation must be completed prior to fulfillment of any delivery cycle. Orders that do not meet these requirements may be delayed, modified, or cancelled.
5. Delivery and Payment Terms
Subscribers may choose a delivery schedule (e.g., monthly, bimonthly) and preferred delivery address. Each delivery is contingent upon successful payment via available methods and continued eligibility of the products under local law. Any incorrect, outdated, or incomplete information may result in failed delivery or cancellation of subscription services.
6. Data Collection and Privacy
By using the MedSubscribe service, you (and the authorized Consumer, where applicable) consent to the collection, use, storage, and processing of personal data necessary for the administration of the subscription. This may include, but is not limited to:
· Full name, address, and contact details
· Valid government-issued identification (e.g., Passport, Driver’s License, National ID)
· Senior Citizen or PWD ID (if applicable for availing of statutory discounts)
· Health-related information (e.g., prescription details, medical conditions, purchase preferences)
This data is collected and processed for verifying identity and eligibility (especially for regulated medications and discounted purchases), ensuring compliance with applicable health and consumer laws, fulfilling scheduled deliveries, and enhancing the overall customer experience, among others.
All personal data shall be handled in strict accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the company’s Privacy Policy, and is protected by administrative, physical, and technical safeguards.
7. Modifications and Cancellation
You may update, pause, or cancel your MedSubscribe plan at any time through your user account or by contacting our customer support. Modifications must be made prior to the scheduled delivery cut-off to be effective for the next order cycle. South Star Drug, Inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the MedSubscribe service or individual subscriptions at its sole discretion, with or without notice, in accordance with applicable law.
8. Limitation of Liability
The MedSubscribe service is offered “as is” and “as available.” South Star Drug, Inc. does not warrant uninterrupted service or guarantee delivery timelines. We are not liable for any delay, error, or omission arising from inaccurate information, force majeure events, regulatory restrictions, or lack of product availability. The subscriber assumes full responsibility for any decisions made on behalf of the consumer.
